An Indian citizen has been Arrested by police in Rawalpindi after failing to provide valid travel documents. The incident took place in the Westridge police station area.
Police officials confirmed that the suspect was Arrested after his actions raised suspicion. According to the first information report (FIR), the man was seen moving towards Dhamiyaal. However, he suddenly turned back after noticing police near Chohar Chowk.
This unusual behavior prompted officers to stop him for questioning. When asked for identification, the man could not present any valid documents. As a result, he was detained on the spot.
The suspect later identified himself as Diler Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Sufi. He claimed to be a resident of India. Police said that he had no legal papers to justify his presence in Pakistan.
During a search, officers recovered two ballpoint pens and 1,750 Pakistani rupees from his possession. No other significant items were found. Officials noted that the recovery did not include any travel documents.
Authorities stated that the man had entered Pakistan through illegal means. He was reportedly living in the country without authorization. Based on these findings, a formal case was registered against him.
The individual has now been officially Arrested under relevant legal provisions. Investigations are ongoing to determine further details about his entry and stay in the country.
Police sources said strict action will be taken in accordance with the law. They also emphasized the importance of proper documentation for all foreign nationals.
