ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Pakistan’s anti-graft body tightened the noose around former Prime Minister Imran Khan as officials modified the inquiry into the Toshakhana issue.
The National Accountability Bureau recently modified the status of an investigation into a state gift given to the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf.

Last year, the country’s anti-corruption authority banned the PTI chief in the same case due to false statements and a sham declaration. Khan, at 70, was barred from holding any public office.
On Monday, the National Accountability Bureau called the former premier to collect the report in his personal capacity. The NAB stated that the PTI chairman’s inquiry had been transformed into an investigation.
Later, the court indicted the former prime minister, who rejected all charges.
