  • 723 robbery cases
  • 491 kidnapping cases
  • 177 sexual assault cases

The figures also show the need for proper investigations and better safety measures.

More Than Rs. 3 Billion Worth of Items Stolen

A separate police report has also revealed the financial losses caused by crime in Islamabad. According to the report, cash, gold, vehicles, and other valuable items worth more than Rs. 3 billion were stolen or taken by force during the first nine months of 2026.

Police registered 4,504 cases of robbery, snatching, house break-ins, theft, and vehicle theft between January and September.

These incidents reportedly caused six deaths and left 44 people injured. Among the injured, 22 people suffered gunshot wounds.

These figures show that crime can cause both financial losses and physical harm. They also show why police need to take quick action and work to prevent such incidents.

Islamabad Police Reports a Drop in Crime

Despite these incidents, Islamabad Police has reported progress in controlling crime. According to the police, property-related crimes fell by 27% compared with 2025.

This claim gives another view of the security situation in the capital. However, it is important to understand which crimes were included in this comparison.

Different reports may cover different periods and types of crime. Therefore, their figures should not be compared directly without checking what they include.

Public Safety Remains a Major Concern

The reported crime figures have raised concerns about safety in Pakistan’s capital. People need better protection, thorough investigations, and swift action against crime.

The police have reported a drop in some crimes, while other figures show hundreds of reported cases. Both sets of figures need careful interpretation.

Clear information, accurate records, and details about police investigations can help people better understand the situation.
