Islamabad High Court Issues Notices in PTI Founder’s Sentence Suspension Petition

The Islamabad High Court has issued notices to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and other concerned parties regarding petitions filed by the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi seeking suspension of their sentences in the £190 million reference case. The hearing was overseen by Acting Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif.

During the session, Latif Khosa, advocate for the petitioners, requested that the case be heard next Wednesday. The court accepted the request and scheduled the hearing for next week, officially notifying all respondents.

Previously, an accountability court had sentenced the PTI founder to 14 years in prison and Bushra Bibi to 7 years in connection with this case, intensifying political and legal attention on the matter.
