Islamabad Police Launches Online Appointment System for Public Services

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has launched a new online appointment system to make public services faster and more convenient. Citizens can now book appointments for Police Khidmat Markaz (PKM) and Driving License services through the departmentโ€™s official website.

The new system allows residents to schedule appointments from their homes. The initiative is aimed at reducing waiting times and improving the overall experience for people visiting police facilitation centers.

According to Islamabad Police, users can visit the official website and select the service they require. They can then choose either Police Khidmat Markaz or Driving License services before selecting a suitable date and time for their visit.

The online booking system has been introduced to simplify the appointment process. Instead of visiting a facilitation center to secure a booking, citizens can now complete the process online within minutes.

Officials said the new service is designed to improve efficiency at police facilitation centers. It also helps reduce overcrowding by managing visitor flow through scheduled appointments.

To support the new system, Islamabad Police has established dedicated appointment counters at all Police Khidmat Markaz and Driving License facilitation centers. Citizens who arrive at their selected time will be directed to these special counters.

The department said the dedicated counters will provide quicker service to people with confirmed appointments. This arrangement is expected to reduce delays and create a more organized process for visitors.

The online system offers greater flexibility for citizens. Users can select a date and time that best matches their schedule without making multiple visits to a facilitation center.

Officials believe the digital service will save both time and effort for applicants. It also reduces the need to wait in long queues for basic police and licensing services.

The initiative reflects the growing use of digital technology in public service delivery. Government departments across Pakistan have increasingly introduced online platforms to improve accessibility and customer service.

According to Islamabad Police, the appointment system is part of its efforts to modernize public services and improve convenience for residents of the federal capital.

Citizens planning to use PKM or Driving License services are encouraged to book their appointments before visiting the facilitation centers. This will help ensure they receive service at their scheduled time.

The department expects the online booking system to improve the management of daily visitors while making the process smoother for applicants. Officials said the initiative is another step toward providing efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services through digital solutions.
