Islamabad Traffic Police Fully Digitalised Driving Licensing System

Islamabad Traffic Police Fully Digitalised Driving Licensing System

The Islamabad Traffic Police has announced a major upgrade in its services. The entire licensing system has now been made paperless and cashless. Officials confirmed that the process has been fully digitalised to improve public service delivery.

According to police authorities, the decision follows directives from Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The goal is to modernise government services and reduce manual work. The new system is designed to make the process faster and more efficient for citizens.

Under the updated system, the licensing process has been fully digitalised across all stages. Applicants can now pay fees using banking apps or other digital payment methods. This removes the need for cash transactions at service centres.

Officials said that many traditional requirements have also been eliminated. Citizens will no longer need to carry multiple physical documents. Instead, only an original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is required for processing.

The Islamabad Traffic Police stated that the licensing process has been fully digitalised to ensure convenience and transparency. This step also aims to reduce long queues and delays at licensing centres.

Authorities explained that the initiative is part of a broader reform plan. The government is working to upgrade public services through modern technology. The shift toward digital systems is expected to improve efficiency and reduce human error.

Police officials added that the new system also promotes accountability. With fewer manual steps, the chances of irregularities are reduced. Citizens are expected to benefit from a smoother and more reliable experience.

The digitalised system is also aligned with national efforts to strengthen e-governance. Similar reforms are being introduced in other departments as well. Officials believe this will help create a more connected and efficient public service structure.

Citizens have welcomed the move, saying it simplifies the licensing process. Many applicants have already started using digital payment methods for convenience.

Overall, the Islamabad Traffic Police said the licensing system has been fully digitalised to provide faster, safer, and more transparent services. Authorities confirmed that further improvements will continue in the future to enhance user experience.
