Kasur Police Slammed for Forcing Gang-Rape Victims Into Marriage Settlement

Kasur Police Slammed for Forcing Gang-Rape Victims Into Marriage Settlement

KASUR – A deeply disturbing incident has emerged from Chunian tehsil of Kasur, where two young girls were allegedly kidnapped and subjected to gang rape for several days.

The case has sparked outrage after claims that some Kasur Police officials attempted to settle the matter through marriage instead of ensuring justice.

According to reports, FIR No. 1706/25 was registered at Chunian Police Station three days after the crime occurred. The victims stated that Mubeen, along with four to six accomplices, abducted them from a local market. They were then taken to Changa Manga, where they were reportedly assaulted for four to five days.

Shockingly, the victims’ families revealed that certain Kasur Police officials organized a gathering between both parties and suggested that one of the girls marry an accused as a settlement. Instead of supporting the survivors, the officials allegedly blamed the families for β€œnot keeping an eye” on their daughters.

The families have strongly condemned the Kasur Police, calling their actions an attempt to shield the perpetrators rather than punish them. They expressed deep frustration at how the case was handled and demanded immediate justice.

Appeals have been made to Punjab Inspector General Dr. Usman Anwar, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and the CCPO to intervene without delay. The families have urged authorities to take strict action against both the culprits and the negligent officers who failed in their duty.

This latest case adds to the troubled history of Kasur, a district that has repeatedly faced criticism over crimes against women and children. The role of the Kasur Police in this incident has once again raised serious concerns about accountability and the protection of victims.
