Khawaja Asif Lodged Complaint with London Police After Heckling and Knife Threat Incident

The Pakistan High Commission in London has formally reached out to British authorities, seeking action over an incident involving Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who was allegedly mistreated.

According to reports, the High Commission filed a written complaint with the London Metropolitan Transport Police, urging them to take necessary steps against the individual involved. Diplomatic sources confirmed that the High Commission has been actively coordinating with British officials to ensure prompt action.

The complaint aims to initiate legal proceedings against the person accused of threatening the minister. Earlier, the government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, had directed the High Commission to pursue legal measures against the perpetrator.

Officials from the High Commission also met with Asif in London to discuss the incident. Sources indicated that Asif provided a detailed account, revealing that the incident occurred in a public area.

The matter has drawn significant attention from Pakistan’s political leadership. PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has reportedly insisted on holding the individual accountable.

Asif has stated that security camera footage will be used to identify the culprit, ensuring they face justice. British authorities are now expected to act on the High Commission’s complaint.
