Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has issued a powerful call for unity among Muslim nations in the face of escalating Israeli aggression, warning that failure to act now could spell disaster for the entire Islamic world. Speaking in the National Assembly session chaired by Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Asif said that the conflict between Iran and Israel has reached a dangerous point, with Israeli airstrikes killing senior Iranian military figures.
Highlighting Israel’s military actions in Yemen, Iran, and Palestine, Asif stressed that the threat extends beyond one nation. “If the Muslim world does not unite today, everyone’s turn will come,” he warned. He called for immediate action from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), urging it to convene an emergency meeting to adopt a collective stance against Tel Aviv’s aggression.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s solidarity with Iran, Asif described the neighbouring country as “our brother” and said Pakistan shares in Iran’s grief. He criticized the Islamic world’s silence over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, contrasting it with the growing number of Western voices condemning Israel’s actions.
Asif also reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent policy of not recognizing Israel and criticized Muslim countries maintaining covert or official ties with Tel Aviv. “These relations must be severed,” he said. The defence minister further condemned Indian support for terrorist groups like the BLA and TTP, declaring such backing as a betrayal of Pakistan and an act of treason.
