Former Senator Abbas Afridi has died from severe injuries caused by a gas explosion in Kohat, family sources confirmed.
The blast occurred on Wednesday in the Azam Bagh area due to a gas leak that led to a buildup inside the premises. Afridi sustained critical burns and was moved to a specialized burn center, but despite efforts, he could not recover.

Police verified the cause of the explosion as accumulated gas within the house. Afridi’s funeral prayers will be held in Babri Banda, Kohat, as announced by his relatives.
Meanwhile, three other individuals who were also injured in the incident are still undergoing treatment.
