Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Tuesday inaugurated the ‘Insaf Female Education Card’ initiative, a landmark program aimed at expanding access to higher education for young women across the province.
Speaking at the Frontier Women College, the chief minister said the scheme would provide free higher education to over 55,000 female and orphaned students at the intermediate level in public sector colleges. He described the initiative as a major step toward gender equality and educational empowerment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“This initiative reflects our government’s commitment to empowering women through education,” Afridi said. “Educated women build the foundation of a strong, prosperous, and enlightened society.”
The ‘Insaf Female Education Card’ is expected to significantly increase female enrollment in colleges and improve opportunities for women to pursue academic and professional careers. Officials said the program would also include measures to ensure access in remote and underprivileged areas of the province.
