Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department has launched a recruitment drive to fill 2,439 vacant positions for medical officers, dental surgeons, and nurses across the province. Khaliqur Rehman said the initiative aims to address staff shortages and strengthen both primary and secondary healthcare services.
The vacancies include 1,425 posts for medical officers, 250 for dental surgeons, and 764 for nurses. Appointments will initially be on a one-year contract, extendable based on performance and departmental requirements.
Eligible candidates must hold recognized qualifications in their respective fields, complete mandatory house jobs where required, and possess valid registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) or Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed on April 8.
Minister Khaliqur Rehman emphasized that the recruitment process will be conducted transparently and on merit, ensuring that health centers function efficiently and provide improved medical services to the public.
Applicants are required to submit their documents to the offices of relevant divisional commissioners by April 8. Authorities advised submitting one application per division and following instructions available on the Health Departmentโs official platform. The merit list will remain valid for one year.
