Lahore Airport Customs Seize 42kg Silver and iPhones from Dubai Arrivals

Customs officials at Lahore airport have seized 42 kilograms of silver and 11 iPhones from three passengers arriving from Dubai. The passengers, identified as Bushra, Rizwan, and Qasim, were taken into custody after their luggage raised suspicion during routine scanning.

Authorities stated that the passengers hail from Gujranwala, Lodhran, and Lahore. During standard checks, some of the luggage appeared unusual, prompting a detailed inspection. Officials confirmed that the recovered items included silver bars and multiple iPhones, believed to be smuggled into the country.

All seized items have been secured, and an investigation has been launched to uncover further details. Customs officials emphasized that strict measures would be taken against those involved in smuggling operations at Lahore airport.

This operation highlights ongoing efforts to curb illegal trade and prevent the misuse of air travel routes for smuggling purposes. Authorities reminded passengers that thorough inspections are conducted to ensure security and compliance with import regulations.
