The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore has granted post-arrest bail to Sanam Javed, a prominent social media activist, in a protest case. She was granted bail after providing a surety bond of Rs. 100,000.
Sanam Javed’s arrest stemmed from a protest on February 8, during which she was accused of blocking roads and making anti-government statements.

The case, filed by the Islam Pura Police, initially did not include terrorism charges, but they were added later, which her lawyer, Mian Ali Ashfaq, argues was politically motivated.
Judge Irfan Haider of the ATC examined the case and granted bail after reviewing the evidence, allowing her release on the condition of a Rs. 100,000 surety bond.
Sanam Javed, a member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was involved in protests that allegedly caused traffic disruptions and included anti-state slogans, as per police claims.
