Lahore Board has summoned the heads of 41 schools following poor Class 9 examination performance.

The schools reportedly recorded Results below 20 percent, prompting the board to launch an inquiry.

School heads have been asked to provide written explanations about their institutions’ performance. They must also appear before an inquiry committee to explain the reasons behind the low pass rates.

Inquiry Into Class 9 Performance

The inquiry committee has requested detailed academic records from the schools concerned.

It has specifically sought subject-wise Results for teachers working at these institutions. The information will help officials review the performance of individual teachers and different subjects.

Authorities will examine the records before deciding whether further action is required. According to officials, school heads and teachers will receive an opportunity to present their position.

They will be given a personal hearing before any disciplinary action is considered. The process is expected to determine the factors behind the poor Class 9 performance.

Several Lahore Schools Included in Inquiry

A number of government schools have been included in the investigation.

These include Government High School Pakay Quarter Mughalpura, Pajian and Rang Mahal.

Government High School Govind Raiwind and Shahpur Kanjran are also included. Schools in Karbat, Awan Dhai Wala, Barqi and Ravi Road are part of the inquiry.

The board will examine their academic performance and seek explanations from their respective heads.

More Government Schools Face Review

The inquiry also covers Government High School Maqbool Aam and GOR-I.

Government schools in Jaman Cantt and Chachowali Lahore Cantt are also on the list. Other institutions include Maraka Quarter, Chah Miran, Mominpura and Chung Khurd.

Schools located in Ladhkay Oche, Bilal Ganj, Jallo Station and Hair Punjab are also included. The inquiry covers 41 schools in total, according to the information provided.

Teachers to Receive Personal Hearing

Officials have stressed that disciplinary action will not be taken without hearing those involved. School heads and teachers will have an opportunity to explain their academic performance.

The committee will consider written responses alongside subject-level data during its review. The Class 9 Results will be examined to identify areas where performance remained particularly low.

Following the inquiry, authorities may determine whether disciplinary measures are necessary.
