LAHORE: Lahore Traffic Police has announced special arrangements for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal processions.
The Traffic Plan will be implemented across the city on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Officials will manage traffic flow around procession routes.
The arrangements include diversions, alternative routes and designated parking areas. These measures aim to reduce congestion during the religious processions.
Traffic Police has urged citizens to cooperate with officials. Motorists have also been asked to follow the announced routes.
According to the advisory, traffic from several areas will face temporary diversions. Officials will guide vehicles toward alternate roads during procession timings.
Vehicles approaching from Thokar Niaz Baig and Multan Road will use alternative routes. The diversions will help prevent heavy traffic near procession locations.
Traffic from Shahdara and Ravi Road will also be redirected. Motorists from nearby areas should follow instructions issued by traffic officials.
Vehicles coming from Azadi Chowk will also face route changes. Traffic from Circular Road and connected areas will be managed through alternate roads.
Officials will monitor major roads throughout the processions. Special arrangements will also be made for VIP movement.
Emergency routes will remain available during the traffic management operation. Officials will ensure that emergency vehicles can move without unnecessary delays.
Citizens attending the processions have also been given parking instructions. They have been advised to use designated parking areas.
