Lahore University Student Out of Danger After Suicide Attempt

LAHORE โ€“ A Lahore university student is showing signs of recovery at Lahore General Hospital after an alleged suicide attempt. Hospital officials confirmed that the student is now stable and responding to treatment.

The student, identified as Fatima, has been under the care of a special medical board. The team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, is closely monitoring her physical health and mental wellbeing. Doctors are working with her and her family to ensure comprehensive care.

Professor Jodat Saleem, Principal of Lahore General Hospital, stated that the Lahore university student is no longer in immediate danger. He added that her condition is improving gradually due to continuous medical attention. Physical recovery is being supported with careful monitoring of her psychological health.

Punjab Women Protection Authority Chairperson Hina Parvez Butt visited the hospital to meet the student and her family. She noted that Fatima, who had earlier been on a ventilator, is now conscious and responding positively to treatment.

Hina Parvez Butt emphasized that saving the Lahore university student remains the highest priority. She confirmed that strict supervision continues at every stage, and arrangements are in place to provide medical treatment, psychological support, and rehabilitation services.

Doctors and psychologists have been conducting detailed discussions with Fatima and her family to address both her mental and emotional needs. The hospital has stressed the importance of combining medical care with mental health support to ensure full recovery.
