The Lahore High Court has summoned the woman who filed a sexual harassment case against Pakistan cricket star Babar Azam for the next hearing on December 12. The case involves a petition by Babar Azam challenging the trial court’s order to register the harassment case against him.
Justice Mohammad Waheed Khan of the Lahore High Court issued the order on Babar Azam’s petition, with Barrister Haris Azmat representing him. The court extended the stay order on the registration of the case until the next hearing.

The allegations date back a few years when Hamiza Mukhtar claimed she had a long-term relationship with Babar Azam. She accused him of coercing her into an abortion, promising marriage in return. Mukhtar sought to have an FIR registered against Azam for blackmail and fornication. However, her claims were later disproven by a police investigation.
A report submitted by the police in court revealed that neither Hamiza nor her family was blackmailed or harassed by the police on behalf of Babar Azam’s family. As a result, her allegations of harassment and blackmail were dismissed by the court. The judge ruled that no party is above the law and advised the respondents, including Babar Azam’s family, to act within legal limits.
The case will continue with further hearings on December 12, with both sides awaiting the court’s decision.
