Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences has launched an electric bus service at its campus in Jamshoro, aiming to improve transport facilities for students and ease daily commuting within the university.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Ikram Din Ujjan said the buses will operate ุฏุงุฎู the campus to provide convenient transportation for students traveling between departments, hostels, and academic blocks.
He explained that the initiative is designed to make travel easier and more affordable for students, reducing their dependence on other modes of transport and cutting daily expenses.
The electric buses are also expected to help manage traffic flow ุฏุงุฎู the campus, minimizing congestion and improving overall mobility for students and staff.
University officials stated that the project is part of broader efforts to enhance student facilities and modernize campus infrastructure through sustainable solutions.
Students who attended the launch welcomed the initiative, saying it would significantly reduce travel costs and make it more convenient to move around the large campus area.
The introduction of electric buses also reflects a growing focus on environmentally friendly transport options in educational institutions across Pakistan.
