On Saturday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expelled 22 leaders, including former Punjab Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.
The development occurred after Khattak created the PTI MPs, a breakaway faction. Shafiq Afridi, Ziaullah Bangash, Ishtia Urmar, Iqbal Wazeer, Yaqoob Sheikh, and Wilson Wazeer were also kicked out of the party.

The warning was sent to the defected members by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan.
Khattak created his own political party earlier this month after splitting from the old party.
The party’s name has been changed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Parliamentarians), and Khattak will lead it.
Khattak’s party membership had been canceled. The PTI has taken action against Khattak for failing to respond to the show-cause notice. According to a notice from PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan, Khattak’s basic membership has been cancelled.
Previously, the PTI served Khattak with a show-cause notice for allegedly instigating members to abandon the party.
