Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) social media activist has been taken into custody after filming Imran Khan during his return from PIMS Hospital in Islamabad.
According to reports, the activist, identified as Haider Saeed, was detained by authorities from Dahgal Naka. He was later shifted to the Adiala police post in a police van for further questioning.
Sources said Haider Saeed had been recording video footage outside Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) late at night. The footage reportedly showed vehicles leaving the hospital at the time Imran Khan was returning after a medical check-up.
The PTI founder had been brought to PIMS Hospital for follow-up treatment related to an eye condition. Hospital officials confirmed that Imran Khan was transferred from Adiala Jail to the medical facility for the procedure.
Doctors at PIMS administered a second dose of an anti-VEGF intravitreal injection. The treatment is commonly used for certain eye conditions and helps improve vision by reducing swelling in the eye.
Medical sources said the follow-up injection was part of an ongoing treatment plan. The goal of the procedure was to support the recovery of the affected eye and help restore vision.
After completing the medical procedure, Imran Khan was escorted back from the hospital under security arrangements. Authorities ensured controlled movement during the transfer between Adiala Jail and the hospital.
During this time, Haider Saeed reportedly recorded the movement of vehicles near the hospital premises. The footage captured moments around Imran Khan’s departure from the medical facility.
Law enforcement officials later took the activist into custody. Reports indicate he was detained for filming sensitive movements related to the former prime minister’s hospital visit.
Authorities have not yet released detailed information about the legal action against the activist. However, officials confirmed that Haider Saeed is currently being held for questioning.
The incident has drawn attention on social media, where supporters and observers continue discussing the detention and the circumstances surrounding the video recording.
