Man Climbs Electric Pole in Rawalpindi, Falls from Live Wires

A 33-year-old man caused panic in Rawalpindi’s Pirwadhai area after climbing a utility pole and dangling from live electric wires. The incident, which occurred in Zia Colony, was captured on video and widely shared online.

As Rescue 1122 and police officials arrived to conduct a rescue operation, a bystander disregarded safety protocols and climbed the pole to assist. Before rescuers could intervene, the man fell from the wires but miraculously survived.

Authorities have yet to determine the man’s identity or his reasons for climbing the pole. Meanwhile, police stated that they assisted the rescue team but lacked the authority to take action in cases of attempted suicide.

Rescue 1122 emphasized the importance of crowd control in such situations and urged citizens to let professionals handle emergencies safely.
