A solemn ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Iqbal to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq. The event brought together students, scholars, and notable personalities. Participants paid rich tribute to Allama Iqbal, known as the Thinker of Pakistan.
The ceremony reflected respect for Iqbal’s ideas and national vision. Attendees gathered in large numbers to honor his legacy. Floral wreaths were laid at the mausoleum as a sign of reverence. Students from different institutions participated actively in the event.
Renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan performed Iqbal’s famous poetry. His recitation of “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua” deeply moved the audience. The performance added a spiritual and emotional touch to the gathering. Students also presented Iqbal’s verses, creating a meaningful atmosphere.
Students from Government College University Lahore performed selected poetry of Iqbal. Their presentations highlighted the message of unity and self-awareness. The audience appreciated the efforts of the young participants. Their involvement showed a strong connection with national values.
Several academic leaders attended the ceremony. Among them were UET Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir and Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal of Fatima Jinnah Medical College. Dr. Iram from Kinnaird College and Dr. Ijazullah Cheema from the University of Management and Technology also participated.
Other participants included Dr. Baseera Ambrain from the University of the Punjab and Dr. Rehana from Lahore College for Women University. Dr. Shahzad Hussain from Government College University Lahore and Dr. Muhammad Nizam from Superior University were also present. Dr. Nadeem Jaffer attended and shared his views as well.
Speakers highlighted Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi and the Two-Nation Theory. They said the success of Marka-e-Haq reflects the realization of Iqbal’s vision. They also paid tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan for their role in national strength.
Participants emphasized that Iqbal’s ideas remain relevant for today’s youth. They described his thoughts as a guiding light for future generations. The message of self-reliance and unity was strongly repeated during the event.
