KASUR – A man was hospitalised after a woman allegedly threw acid on him during a meeting in Kasur. The incident has attracted public attention after the victim described the events in a video shared by a private media outlet.
According to the victim, the meeting was arranged after the woman contacted him regarding a marriage proposal. He said he had no inappropriate relationship with her and rejected all allegations suggesting otherwise.
Speaking in the video, the man said he was willing to undergo any medical examination to prove his claims. He said authorities could conduct a DNA test or any other investigation to confirm that there had been no improper relationship between them.
The victim explained that the woman had contacted him and expressed interest in meeting. She reportedly told him that she belonged to the same caste, which encouraged him to meet her.
He said he brought food and drinks when they met. According to his account, the woman later asked him to buy a shawarma. He said he purchased the food and returned as requested.
The man stated that they had remained in contact for around one month before the incident. Throughout that period, he said, there had been no inappropriate relationship between them. He maintained that the contact was related to discussions surrounding the marriage proposal.
Describing the incident, the victim said the woman took him to a nearby colony. While they were walking, she allegedly threw acid on him without warning and immediately fled the scene.
He further claimed that the woman ran toward the house of a man identified as Waqas. The victim said he also went there hoping to receive help after the attack.
However, he claimed he found both individuals together at the location. According to his statement, he then realized something was wrong and decided to leave instead of staying there.
The man suffered injuries in the alleged attack and was later admitted to a hospital for treatment. His current medical condition has not been officially disclosed.
As of the filing of this report, police have not issued an official statement regarding the incident. No arrests have been reported, and authorities have not confirmed the victim’s version of events.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged acid attack remain under investigation. Officials are expected to determine the facts after collecting evidence and recording statements from those involved.
