Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a special relief package for families affected by recent floods in Jalalpur Pirwala. The package aims to support those who have suffered losses in the disaster.
Under the aid scheme, families who lost a loved one will receive Rs1 million. Those whose houses were completely destroyed will also get Rs1 million. Families with partially damaged homes will be provided Rs500,000.
The aid also covers livestock losses. Owners of large animals will receive Rs500,000, while Rs50,000 will be given for the loss of smaller animals.
A few days ago, Maryam Nawaz visited a flood relief camp in Multan. She assured the affected people of full government support. During the visit, the chief minister reviewed health, rescue, and relief counters. She expressed satisfaction with the arrangements, including cleanliness and the availability of basic services.
CM Maryam also visited the Bela relief camp, where she met women and children directly affected by the floods. She listened to their concerns and promised swift action for the restoration of homes. Her visit highlighted the governmentβs commitment to supporting flood victims in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz emphasized that timely relief and rehabilitation are a top priority. She urged local authorities to ensure that aid reaches all affected families quickly. The chief minister also stressed the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and healthcare facilities at relief camps.
This special aid package is expected to bring significant relief to families in Jalalpur Pirwala. Officials have confirmed that distribution will begin soon, with priority given to the most severely affected households.
