PMDC Reveals MDCAT 2026 Exam Date, Registration Details and Fee Structure

ISLAMABAD โ€“ The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the registration schedule and examination details for MDCAT 2026. The medical entrance test will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, across Pakistan and selected international centers.

According to PMDC, the examination will begin at 10:00 a.m. Candidates interested in appearing for the test can submit their applications online from June 22, 2026. The regular registration process will remain open until July 8.

Applicants who fail to register within the given deadline will get another opportunity. PMDC has allowed late registration until July 13. However, candidates will have to pay an additional fee during the late registration period.

The registration fee for students appearing within Pakistan has been set at Rs9,000. Those applying after the deadline will have to submit a late fee of Rs13,000. Meanwhile, candidates choosing international test centers will pay a registration fee of Rs45,000.

PMDC has clarified that all submitted fees will be non-refundable and non-transferable. Candidates are advised to carefully complete their registration process before the deadline to avoid any issues.

The council said the MDCAT 2026 examination will be conducted through designated institutions in different regions. These institutions will manage test arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the medical admission examination.

In Sindh, Sukkur IBA University will organize the test. The University of Health Sciences Lahore will supervise examination arrangements in Punjab.

For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Medical University Peshawar will be responsible for conducting the examination. In Balochistan, Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences Quetta will manage the test process.

The examination in Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Riyadh will be conducted by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University.

The MDCAT 2026 is a key requirement for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges across Pakistan. Thousands of students are expected to participate in the examination as they compete for seats in medical institutions.
