Veteran actor Mehmood Aslam recently shared his thoughts on love and relationships during an appearance on Gup Shab. He believes a person can fall in love multiple times, clarifying that teenage crushes are not true love. Rejecting the idea of “ishq” as an all-consuming force, he argued that love is more about attachment, which fades with distance and strengthens with time spent together.
Aslam also made a personal revelation, disclosing that he has been married twice—both times for love. His second wife, actor Amber Nosheen, is a well-known industry figure, and they have two daughters together. Unlike many celebrities, he spoke candidly about his relationships.

Discussing Pakistan’s entertainment industry, Aslam criticized the fast-paced drama production cycle, saying it hampers quality due to a shortage of writers, directors, and actors. He lamented that the same few stars are overburdened, affecting performance standards.
Beyond showbiz, Aslam voiced concerns about Pakistan’s global standing. In an emotional reflection, he recalled a time when the country was more respected, contrasting it with the struggles Pakistanis face abroad today. Despite having the resources to leave, he has chosen to stay, affirming his deep connection to his homeland.
