Mercedes-Benz has introduced its all-electric CLA 200 sedan in Pakistan, bringing another premium electric vehicle option to the country’s luxury automotive market.

The German automaker has launched the vehicle through its authorised local distributor, Shahnawaz Limited. The electric sedan carries an announced ex-factory price of Rs. 26.2 million (Rs. 2.62 crore), while bookings are now open for interested customers.

According to the launch information, buyers will need to pay Rs. 13 million as an advance booking amount. Deliveries are expected to begin in December 2026.

The new model features an electric powertrain, modern digital technology and Mercedes-Benz’s AMG Line styling package. It is aimed at customers looking for a combination of luxury, performance and electric mobility.

The Pakistan-specification CLA 200 comes with a 58 kWh battery and a rear-mounted electric motor. The powertrain produces 224 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque.

Mercedes-Benz claims the electric sedan can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in approximately 7.5 seconds. Its advertised driving range reaches up to 542 kilometres under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP).

However, the actual distance covered on a single charge may vary depending on driving conditions, speed, weather and air-conditioning usage.

The vehicle also supports 200 kW DC fast charging. Under suitable conditions, its battery can charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.

For regular charging, the CLA 200 offers an 11 kW AC charging option. Charging duration may depend on the available power supply and battery conditions.

In terms of exterior design, the Pakistan-spec model features the AMG Line package, which gives the electric sedan a sportier appearance.

Its exterior equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and a panoramic sunroof.

The cabin combines digital displays with premium comfort features. Drivers get a 10.3-inch digital instrument display alongside a 14-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Additional equipment includes a Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, wireless smartphone charging and heated front seats.

The vehicle also offers a 360-degree camera to assist with parking and manoeuvring. Driver assistance technologies provide additional support during everyday journeys.

According to the reported local specifications, Mercedes-Benz is offering a two-year unlimited-mileage vehicle warranty with the CLA 200. Its high-voltage battery is covered by a separate warranty of eight years or 160,000 kilometres.

The launch also signals further expansion of Mercedes-Benz’s electric vehicle range in Pakistan.

Shahnawaz Limited is reportedly preparing to introduce two additional models, the CLA 250+ and CLA 250 Sports Tourer, around January 2027.

However, their local prices and booking arrangements have not yet been announced.

With an announced price of Rs. 2.62 crore, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 enters the upper end of Pakistan’s electric car market. Its claimed driving range, rapid charging capability and premium interior equipment make it a new option for buyers considering a luxury electric sedan.
