Sindh Minister Sadia Javed has demanded an apology after a Karachi University professor was allegedly assaulted.
Javed said society cannot progress without respecting teachers. She described the reported incident as deeply shameful.
The minister said she was a Karachi University graduate. She added that the incident reflected broader issues with social values.

Minister Calls for Apology
Sadia Javed demanded an apology from the accused and his family. She said they should come forward and apologise to the affected teacher.
According to Javed, Konain Shah is the prime accused in the case. She said he is the son of Grand Democratic Alliance leader Ali Gohar Shah.
The minister said the hotel allegedly connected to the incident had been sealed. Professor Saqi was reportedly held at the location.
Authorities have also confiscated the double-cabin vehicle allegedly linked to the incident. An FIR has been registered over the reported assault.
Javed said Ali Gohar Shahโs son was also named in the case. She added that police were continuing efforts to arrest him.
Police Search for Prime Suspect
The minister said Konain Shah remains at large. Police have reportedly conducted several raids to locate and arrest him.
Authorities formed a team after the case was registered. The team is working to trace the suspects named in the FIR.
Police said Konain Shah, his gunman and several others were nominated. The case concerns allegations of assault and illegal detention involving the professor.

Two Security Guards Arrested
Police have arrested two security guards allegedly connected to the incident.
The suspects were identified as Gul Sher and Taj Muhammad. They were taken into custody during a police operation.
