Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi officially stepped into his new role as President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Thursday, taking over from Shammi Silva, the head of Sri Lanka Cricket. The announcement came via an official statement from the ACC.
Naqvi, also Pakistanβs Interior Minister, expressed his gratitude and excitement at the appointment. βAsia remains the heartbeat of world cricket,β he said, pledging to work closely with member boards to grow the sportβs reach and influence. He also thanked Silva for his leadership during a productive tenure.
