According to Met Office Deputy Director Irfan Wark, the present phase of monsoon activity will continue until July 2, after which a new system bringing widespread rain is likely to affect many regions.

He mentioned that the next round of rains will be heavier, especially in upper and central Punjab, along with other parts of the country. This new spell is also expected to help improve the overall water reserves.

Authorities have urged the public to remain alert, follow weather updates, and take precautions to ensure safety during the coming rainy period.
