New Monsoon System Expected to Bring More Rain Across Punjab from July 7

New Monsoon System Expected to Bring More Rain Across Punjab from July 7

LAHORE: A weak monsoon system remains active across Punjab, while weather officials expect a stronger system to enter Pakistan in the coming days. The latest forecast suggests that more rainfall could reach different parts of the province from July 7.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the current monsoon activity is causing intermittent cloud cover across several areas. These weather conditions may lead to light rain in parts of Lahore during the afternoon. However, heavy rainfall is not expected under the present weather system.

The PMD stated that a fresh monsoon system is likely to enter Pakistan on July 7. This weather pattern is expected to increase rainfall across Punjab and may improve weather conditions in several districts. Officials are closely monitoring the system before issuing detailed regional forecasts.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius on Friday morning. The maximum temperature is expected to reach around 39 degrees Celsius during the day. The combination of high temperatures and humidity is likely to make the weather feel hotter despite the presence of clouds.

Weather experts said isolated areas across Punjab could receive light showers over the next 24 hours. The rainfall is expected to remain scattered and may not affect all districts equally. Some areas could remain dry while others experience brief periods of rain.

Residents in Lahore may notice cloudy skies throughout the day. The cloud cover may help reduce direct sunlight at times. However, temperatures are expected to stay high, especially during the afternoon.

The PMD has advised people to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts. Weather conditions can change quickly during the monsoon season. Fresh advisories may be issued if the incoming system becomes stronger than expected.

Farmers and people involved in outdoor activities are also encouraged to monitor weather updates. Rainfall during the monsoon season plays an important role in agriculture, but sudden weather changes can also affect travel and daily routines.

Authorities have not issued any major weather warnings for Punjab at this stage. However, they continue to observe the developing weather system that is expected to arrive next week.
