More Than 20 New Dengue Cases Reported in Islamabad

Islamabad continues to face rising health concerns as more than 20 new dengue cases reported in Islamabad in the last 24 hours. The alarming increase has prompted health authorities to step up preventive measures and public awareness campaigns across the city.

According to official data from the District Health Office (DHO), most of the patients were admitted to government hospitals. Many cases have been traced to urban sectors, including G-6, I-9, and Rawal Town. Health officials warned that stagnant water and poor sanitation are contributing to the spread of the virus.

The total number of dengue cases in the federal capital this season has now crossed 200. The DHO stated that special teams are conducting fumigation drives and visiting high-risk areas to control mosquito breeding. The public has also been urged to keep their surroundings clean and cover water containers.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad administration has intensified inspections of construction sites, schools, and residential areas. Notices have been issued to several property owners for failing to take preventive measures. The health department emphasized that dengue control requires community cooperation and consistent efforts.

Hospitals have been directed to stay on high alert as more than 20 new dengue cases reported in Islamabad show a steady upward trend. Medical staff are working round-the-clock to provide treatment and maintain record-keeping for early detection.

Authorities are urging citizens to use mosquito repellents, wear full-sleeved clothing, and avoid water accumulation. The situation remains under observation as health teams continue to monitor new infections.

The government has assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to curb the spread of the disease. However, experts warn that unless immediate community participation is ensured, the outbreak could worsen.

With more than 20 new dengue cases reported in Islamabad, officials have reiterated that prevention is the best defense against the virus.
