The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Muhammad Irfan Khan as the captain of the Pakistan squad for the Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars, scheduled to take place later this month.
Irfan, known for his composed batting and sharp leadership skills, has been a consistent performer in domestic cricket and age-group tournaments. His appointment reflects PCB’s focus on nurturing emerging talent and building a strong pipeline for the senior national team.
The Rising Stars tournament, organized under the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), brings together the best young cricketers from across Asia, offering them a platform to showcase their skills at an international level.
According to PCB officials, the squad features a mix of promising batsmen, dynamic all-rounders, and young pacers, all of whom have shown strong performances in the domestic circuit and High Performance camps.
