Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has ordered an inquiry into complaints surrounding the Sindh MDCAT 2026 results.

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council has been directed to conduct a detailed review of the examination process. The investigation will examine results, examination records, security arrangements, and allegations of irregularities.

According to the Health Ministry’s instructions, PM&DC must complete the investigation within 15 days.

Sindh MDCAT Results to Undergo Centre-Wise Review

Investigators have been directed to conduct a detailed analysis of each examination centre. The review will examine the number of candidates, marks, pass rates, and unusually high scores.

Authorities will also compare results between different centres. The purpose is to identify any significant or unusual differences in candidate performance.

Officials will review attendance sheets and seating plans from examination centres.

Examination records, available digital data, and invigilation arrangements will also be examined.

Allegations of Paper Leak and Impersonation to Be Investigated

The inquiry will examine several allegations linked to the MDCAT examination.

Authorities have been asked to investigate claims that someone other than a registered candidate may have taken the test.

Allegations concerning possible paper leakage will also be reviewed. Investigators will determine whether procedural violations or administrative negligence affected the examination.

Any technical issues involving the compilation of results will also come under review.

Karachi Results Raise Questions

The investigation follows questions about the geographical distribution of top-performing candidates.

According to the provided information, none of the top 20 candidates belonged to Karachi Division. The first candidate from Karachi appeared at number 21 on the merit list.

The examination was conducted at nine centres across Sindh and Islamabad. Two examination centres were located in Karachi.

Sukkur IBA University conducted the Sindh test through SIBA Testing Services.

According to the university, 33,336 candidates appeared in the examination.

The provided figures state that 22,538 female candidates were declared successful. More than 16,500 candidates reportedly met the qualifying requirement for MBBS.

The highest reported score was 179 out of 180. The top-scoring candidate was from Shikarpur.

PM&DC Explains Responsibility for MDCAT

PM&DC has clarified its role in conducting the national medical admission examination.

According to the council, provincial and regional governments nominated universities to conduct the tests.

The council did not directly conduct each provincial examination. Sukkur IBA University was the designated testing institution for Sindh.

Its responsibilities included paper-setting, printing, storage, transportation, answer keys, result compilation, and result declaration.

Investigation Report Due Within 15 Days

The Health Ministry has instructed PM&DC to obtain all relevant examination and result records.

Investigators must determine whether any procedural, technical, or administrative issue affected the MDCAT process.

PM&DC is expected to submit its findings to the federal health ministry within 15 days.

The MDCAT 2026 examination was held on September 20.
