A strange and puzzling incident occurred involving a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight, leaving aviation experts baffled. The PK306 flight, which took off from Karachi and landed safely in Lahore on Wednesday night, was discovered to be missing one of its main landing gear wheels upon arrival. Despite this, the plane completed its journey without any incident, raising concerns over how such a situation unfolded.
The disappearance of the wheel has prompted an investigation by PIA’s Flight Safety Department in collaboration with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). A PIA spokesperson confirmed that the investigation would follow all aviation regulations, with officials working to understand the root cause behind the missing wheel.

Initial assessments suggest the wheel might have been damaged by Foreign Object Debris (FOD) or an external factor on Karachi’s runway. However, the exact cause will only be confirmed once the final investigation report is completed.
After receiving an alert from Lahore Air Traffic Control (ATC), airport authorities at Karachi discovered part of the wheel assembly. Despite extensive searches spanning over 14 hours, the missing wheel has yet to be located at either Karachi or Lahore airports, leaving the mystery unsolved for now.
