Khuzdar – The National Measles and Rubella Immunisation Campaign is set to begin in Khuzdar on November 17, health officials confirmed on Tuesday. The initiative aims to protect children against preventable diseases and improve public health.
According to authorities, the campaign will target children under the age of five, providing free vaccinations at designated health centers, schools, and outreach locations. Health workers will also educate parents about the importance of immunisation.
“Launching the campaign in Khuzdar is part of our nationwide effort to eliminate measles and rubella,” a senior health official said. “We urge parents to ensure their children are vaccinated on time.”
The campaign will run in phases across the district, with teams visiting remote areas to reach children who may have limited access to healthcare services. Officials emphasized safety protocols and proper record-keeping throughout the process.
