Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz held an important meeting with a visiting Bangladeshi delegation in Lahore. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in the fields of education and trade.
According to officials, Nawaz, Maryam discuss education and trade with Bangladeshi delegation to identify areas where both countries can work together for mutual benefit. They emphasized the need to strengthen academic exchanges, vocational training, and research partnerships between universities of the two nations.
During the discussion, Nawaz Sharif highlighted the importance of economic collaboration for regional stability. He said Pakistan values its ties with Bangladesh and is ready to explore new opportunities in business and commerce. Maryam Nawaz also stressed the importance of modern education, especially in science and technology, to prepare youth for future challenges.
The Bangladeshi delegation appreciated Pakistanβs initiatives and expressed interest in building stronger academic and trade relations. They noted that improved cooperation could benefit both economies, particularly in textiles, agriculture, and information technology.
Officials present at the meeting confirmed that practical steps will soon be taken to implement these ideas. Joint working groups may be formed to follow up on the discussions.
