On Saturday, Karachi police filed an additional case against Natasha Danish, the suspect in the Karsaz accident, after her medical reports confirmed she was under the influence of methamphetamine (crystal meth). Initially charged with the deaths of Imran Arif and his daughter Amna Arif on August 19, the new FIR was filed following positive narcotics tests from her samples.
Natasha Danish, who had run over and injured several individuals, remains in judicial custody as per court orders. Her earlier medical report, dated August 28, showed traces of the banned substance ice in her urine. This report is now part of the ongoing investigation and will be presented in court.

A special investigation team has been formed to examine CCTV footage and other evidence related to the accident. Natasha has reportedly been inconsistent in her statements during the investigation. Her vehicle was registered under a private company’s name, and new legal charges under Section 322 (murder without intention) have been added, which could result in a prison sentence of 10 to 18 years.
The case also includes the possibility of a diyat (blood money) settlement, which would require Natasha to compensate the victims’ family with an amount valued at approximately Rs 6.8 million. The police are continuing their investigation and encouraging anyone else affected by the accident to come forward. DIG East has assured that justice will be served to the victims’ family.
