Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has ruled out any relief to PTI regarding the legal matters of its founder. He said there is no deal or special treatment being offered.
Speaking to media representatives in London, Tarar said the case of Imran Khan is currently before the courts. He stressed that the legal process will take its course. He made it clear that there is no relief to PTI through any political arrangement.
The minister also addressed reports about Imran Khan’s health. He said the situation is not serious. According to him, social media exaggerated the issue. He stated that the former prime minister’s condition has improved. He added that the earlier medical concern has now been resolved.
Tarar said that PTI leaders were given a full health briefing at Adiala Jail. He urged political parties not to use health matters for political gain. He said there should be no politics over medical issues. He repeated that there is no relief to PTI in the form of leniency or backdoor talks.
The minister also criticized past statements by PTI leaders. He said some leaders who once made strong claims are now focusing on health issues for attention. He emphasized that the government’s position remains firm and transparent.
During the media talk, Tarar mentioned foreign affairs. He said he has received an invitation to attend the Gaza Board of Peace. He added that Pakistan’s stance on Palestine is clear and consistent. He said the country has always supported peace efforts.
He also highlighted recent diplomatic engagements. Tarar noted that a Pakistani prime minister visited Austria after 34 years. He recalled that Nawaz Sharif last visited Austria in 1992. He described the recent visit as an important step in strengthening ties.
Commenting on cricket, Tarar said there has been no formal discussion with the prime minister after the loss against India. He said defeat and victory are part of sports. He added that the team has room to improve.
