The cold weather has intensified across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, bringing rain to several districts and heavy snowfall to the upper regions, with some areas receiving up to 17 inches of snow.
As temperatures continue to plummet, residents are facing increasingly harsh conditions.
According to the Meteorological Department, the spell of rain and snowfall is expected to persist in Upper and Lower Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Khyber, and Kurram districts.

Most parts of the province experienced cold and partly cloudy weather. Rainfall was recorded in Chitral, Kohistan, Bajaur, Dir, and Swat, while mountainous areas of Chitral and Swat were blanketed in snow.
Kalam saw the heaviest snowfall, accumulating 17 inches, followed by Malam Jabba with two inches and Chitral with one inch. These areas also recorded the lowest temperatures, with Parachinar dropping to -4ยฐC, Malam Jabba to -2ยฐC, and Kalam to -1ยฐC.
With further rain and snowfall anticipated, authorities have urged residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions.
Meanwhile, Punjab is set to experience dry and sunny weather over the next three days, with no forecasted rainfall.
Morning temperatures will remain cool, while afternoons are expected to be mild across most cities.
Murree will be the coldest location in Punjab, with nighttime temperatures plunging to -2ยฐC and humidity levels at 57%. Major urban centers such as Lahore, Faisalabad, and Multan will have minimum temperatures ranging between 8ยฐC and 11ยฐC.
In southern Punjab, Bahawalpur will have the highest humidity at 94%, with temperatures fluctuating between 8ยฐC and 11ยฐC. Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan will experience similar conditions, with daytime highs reaching 10ยฐC.
Rawalpindi, Attock, and Chakwal will have chilly mornings, with minimum temperatures between 5ยฐC and 7ยฐC, while Jhelum and Sargodha will see slightly warmer conditions, with lows between 8ยฐC and 10ยฐC.
The Meteorological Department has forecast clear skies across major cities, with no significant weather changes expected until Friday. Residents can expect dry conditions to persist, accompanied by cool mornings and sunny afternoons.
