Action Taken: Sindh Suspends Karachi Matric Board officials Amid Cheating Allegations

Education authorities have taken strict action in connection with ongoing concerns over matric examinations. According to an official notification, the department suspends three key officials from their duties.

The suspended staff includes a deputy controller, an assistant controller, and a data entry operator. Officials confirmed that the decision was taken after serious allegations of mismanagement surfaced.

Sources said the provincial Ministry of Universities and Boards provided key information. Based on this input, the department moved forward with disciplinary action. The authorities suspends the officials to ensure a fair investigation process.

The suspended employees were reportedly involved in managing examination centres. Their responsibilities also included posting staff at different schools. These roles are now under detailed review due to irregularities during matric examinations.

Officials said concerns were raised about improper handling of centre transfers. There were also complaints related to administrative delays. As a result, the department decided to suspends them until further notice.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies have also taken action against cheating networks. The Karachi Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) conducted a major operation against an organized cheating group.

Four suspects were arrested during raids in multiple areas of the city. The arrested individuals were identified as Mubeen Khan, Usama, Bilal, and Abdul Razzaq. Officials said the network was involved in leaking exam papers.

Police stated that the group charged students large amounts of money. In return, they provided leaked papers before matric examinations. The operation targeted areas including Malir, Surjani, New Karachi, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing. They are trying to identify other members connected to the network. Officials also confirmed that strict monitoring is being carried out to prevent further cheating cases.

Education officials believe that suspending key staff and cracking down on cheating groups will improve transparency. The decision to suspends officials is part of broader reforms aimed at restoring trust in the examination system.

The department emphasized that accountability will be ensured at all levels. Further actions may follow based on investigation results. For now, the suspended officers remain out of their positions as inquiries continue.
