Ghazab Lil Haq Operation PAF Strikes Afghan Taliban Targets in Laghman Province – Live Updates

Pakistan’s armed forces have launched Operation Ghazab Lil Haq following cross-border attacks by Afghan Taliban fighters. The operation includes coordinated air and ground actions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Officials say Ghazab Lil Haq was initiated in response to unprovoked aggression against Pakistani forces. Authorities stated that the response was aimed at protecting national sovereignty and civilian safety.

According to security sources, the Pakistan Air Force targeted several Taliban positions during the operation. Key military installations were hit in different sectors across the border.

Among the targets were weapons depots, battalion headquarters, and brigade positions. Several Taliban installations were reportedly destroyed during the early stages of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.

Officials confirmed that at least 274 militants were killed during the clashes. More than 400 others were reported injured in the fighting.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry shared the details during a press conference. He described the operation as a decisive and proportionate response to terrorist attacks.

The spokesperson said Pakistani forces destroyed more than 73 Taliban posts during Ghazab Lil Haq. Security forces also captured 18 enemy posts during the operation.

According to the military, Afghan Taliban fighters abandoned several positions and fled. Weapons and equipment were reportedly left behind at multiple locations.

Security officials also stated that around 115 enemy tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed or seized. Taliban fighters reportedly used quadcopter drones during some attacks.

Pakistani forces responded effectively to those attempts. Military sources said incoming drones were intercepted before causing damage.

However, Pakistan also suffered losses during the operation. Twelve soldiers were martyred while defending the country’s borders.

Another 27 soldiers were injured during the clashes. One soldier is still reported missing.

During Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, Pakistani forces targeted several areas along the border. Taliban check posts in sectors such as Chitral, Bajaur, Mohmand, and Kurram were reportedly destroyed.

Security sources said a Taliban base near the Barikot area was also eliminated. Militants had reportedly used the location as a hideout.

Authorities added that several Taliban fighters raised white flags at some posts. The move followed intense pressure from Pakistani forces.

The government also placed major cities on alert after the operation began. Security measures were increased in Punjab and Karachi.

Police were instructed to monitor sensitive areas, mosques, embassies, and public places. Search and surveillance operations were also intensified.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan’s armed forces remain ready to defend the country. He emphasized that national security and territorial integrity will not be compromised.

President Asif Ali Zardari also warned that Pakistan would not tolerate continued aggression. He said those responsible for violence would face strong consequences.
