Pak Armed Forces Pledge Unwavering Defence of Nation in Independence Day Message

The Pak Armed Forces have congratulated the nation on the country’s 78th Independence Day, pledging to safeguard sovereignty and work for peace, unity, and progress.

In a message issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu conveyed their heartfelt greetings to the people.

The service chiefs paid rich tribute to the founding fathers of Pakistan. They acknowledged the sacrifices, vision, and determination of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and his companions, whose leadership led to the creation of the nation. They also honoured the leaders, statesmen, and soldiers who laid the country’s foundations.

Reaffirming their commitment, the Pak Armed Forces vowed to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty, safeguard its borders, uphold the Constitution, and protect the values that define the nation’s identity.
