Pakistan Air Force Conducts Retaliatory Strikes Inside Iran: Reports

Social media platforms are ablaze with unverified reports indicating that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has carried out retaliatory strikes within Iranian territory. These reports, widely circulated, have been highlighted by the open-source intelligence monitor OSINTdefender, shedding light on the alleged events.

According to a post by OSINTdefender on X, numerous airstrikes occurred overnight in Eastern Iran, specifically near the city of Saravan, around 20 miles into the Sistan and Balochistan province from the Pakistani border. The post includes images depicting plumes of smoke rising from the areas reportedly targeted.

It is crucial to emphasize that, at present, these reports are unverified, and no confirmation of retaliatory strikes has been provided by the top officials of the Pakistani military.

The backdrop to these strikes originates from recent incidents wherein Iran reportedly breached Pakistani airspace, conducting airstrikes that tragically led to the death of two children and injuries to three girls.

The relationship between Pakistan and Iran has been strained for some time, and this recent episode threatens to exacerbate an already fragile bond between these prominent entities in the Islamic world.

As tensions escalate, there is an urgent need for both countries to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic solutions. Engaging through diplomatic channels is imperative to de-escalate the situation and prevent the region from descending into a larger-scale conflict.

The international community is closely monitoring the situation, urging Pakistan and Iran to prioritize peace and stability over further hostilities.
