The government has announced important instructions for pilgrims planning to perform Hajj under the private scheme in 2027.
Under the new rules, pilgrims cannot make direct payments to private Hajj operators or agents.
All bookings, package selections and payments must now be completed through official government platforms. According to media reports, bookings under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027 have officially started.
Pilgrims will use the Pak Hajj App and official Hajj portal to complete the process. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will supervise the booking and payment system.
Direct Payments to Hajj Operators Banned
Under the new arrangement, applicants should not directly pay private operators, agents or other individuals.
Officials have warned pilgrims against making payments outside the official system. If an applicant pays an unauthorised agent or individual, responsibility for that transaction will rest with the applicant.
The measure aims to bring the private scheme’s booking and payment process under official supervision. Pilgrims should therefore select packages and complete payments only through approved government platforms.
Over 105,000 People Already Registered
A total of 71,696 pilgrims will perform Hajj under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027. More than 105,000 people have already registered through the Pak Hajj App, according to the provided information.
Registration does not mean pilgrims should make payments directly to private companies. Applicants should follow the official process when selecting their packages and completing required transactions.
25 Private Hajj Companies Authorised
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also provided details about authorised private companies. According to the ministry, 25 private Hajj companies are currently registered for the scheme.
Only packages offered by these authorised companies will appear on the official portal and Pak Hajj App. This means applicants can review available options through the government’s approved digital platforms.
Pilgrims should carefully check package information before completing their booking and payment. The new system represents an important change for people using the private scheme.
Previously, applicants could deal more directly with private operators during different stages of the process. For Hajj 2027, the government is placing the main booking and payment process on official digital channels.
Applicants are advised to avoid unofficial agents and direct financial transactions with individuals. Pilgrims should also follow announcements from the Ministry of Religious Affairs for further instructions.
