Pakistan Army has announced new recruitment opportunities for Junior Commissioned Officers and soldiers in 2026.
The vacancies cover several categories, including Junior Commissioned Officer, also known as Naib Khateeb. Other positions include General Duty Soldier, Technical Soldier, Driver, Military Police, Clerk, Cook and Sanitary Worker.
Eligible candidates can register during September and November 2026, depending on the recruitment category.
Applicants can register online or visit their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre.
Pakistan Army Jobs 2026 Vacancies
The Junior Commissioned Officer vacancy is available for candidates with religious and general education.
Applicants must have completed Dars-e-Nizami along with FA, FSc or an equivalent qualification. Arabic language skills, Qira’at and Hifz will be considered additional qualifications.
General Duty Soldier positions require candidates to have passed Matric.
Educational relaxation is available for eligible candidates from specified regions and children of martyrs.
Technical Soldier applicants must have passed Matric with Science in at least B Grade.
Candidates holding higher educational qualifications may receive preference.
Driver positions are also available for Matric-qualified candidates. Those holding valid driving licences may receive preference.
Military Police applicants must have passed Matric and meet the required physical standards.
Clerk, Cook and Sanitary Worker Jobs
Clerk positions require at least Intermediate with C Grade.
Candidates with higher education and computer skills will be preferred.
Eligible candidates from Balochistan, merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan can apply with Intermediate D Grade.
Cook applicants must have passed at least Middle. Previous cooking experience may provide an advantage.
Sanitary Worker positions are available for literate candidates with education up to Primary level.
Age Limits for Army Jobs
The age requirement varies depending on the position.
Junior Commissioned Officer applicants must generally be between 20 and 28 years old. Serving Army personnel can apply between 22 and 35 years, subject to service requirements.
The standard age range for most soldier categories is 17½ to 23 years.
This applies to General Duty, Technical Soldier, Driver, Military Police, Clerk and Cook positions.
Sanitary Worker applicants can be between 17½ and 35 years old. Candidates holding valid driving licences may receive up to two years of age relaxation for Driver positions.
Graduates and applicants with higher qualifications may receive one year of age relaxation.
Eligible applicants from Balochistan and merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive up to three years.
Ages will be calculated as of November 24, 2026.
Physical Requirements for Candidates
Minimum height requirements also differ by recruitment category. Junior Commissioned Officer applicants must be at least 5 feet 3 inches tall.
General Duty Soldiers, Technical Soldiers and Drivers must be at least 5 feet 6 inches.
Military Police applicants face a higher minimum requirement of 5 feet 8 inches. Clerks, Cooks and Sanitary Workers must be at least 5 feet 3 inches tall.
Certain candidates from Balochistan, merged KP districts and Gilgit-Baltistan may receive a two-inch relaxation.
However, this relaxation does not apply to several specified categories.
Documents Required for Registration
Applicants should bring their original educational certificates and two attested photocopies. Four passport-size photographs are also required.
Candidates must provide their CNIC and domicile certificate during the recruitment process.
Applicants from Azad Jammu and Kashmir must also submit a State Subject Certificate.
Anyone claiming an age, education or height relaxation must provide supporting documentation.

Junior Commissioned Officer applications will be accepted from September 1 to November 23, 2026.
For soldier vacancies, online registration runs from September 1 to November 16, 2026. Online registration is not compulsory for soldier applicants.
Candidates can instead visit their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centre or Regimental Centre.
In-person registration will remain available from September 1 to November 23, 2026.

Registered candidates must then complete the required tests and other stages of the selection process.
