Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to defending the country’s sovereignty. Speaking to students and faculty from universities in Abbottabad, he emphasized that any act of external aggression would receive a strong and decisive response from the armed forces.
During the interactive session, the DG ISPR discussed national security challenges, Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions, and the ongoing fight against terrorism. He assured the audience that Pakistan has taken effective steps to curb terrorism and counter extremism, while also exposing the elements attempting to destabilize the region.
The event was attended by a large number of students and teachers. It also included a tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the nation, recognized as symbols of courage and sacrifice.
Vice Chancellor of Hazara University, Dr. Ikramullah Khan, praised the Pakistan Army for its role in protecting the nation, describing it as a true symbol of patriotism. He said, “The Pakistan Army is always on the frontline, and we stand united in support of our defenders.”
The session also focused on tackling misinformation and the role of the youth in nation-building. Teachers highlighted the importance of giving students authentic and verified information to counter misleading narratives spread by hostile forces.
Students expressed pride in the armed forces and appreciated their guidance in promoting unity and national awareness. One student noted, “We are proud to live in a country where the Pakistan Army protects and inspires us. The false information on social media has now been clarified, and we feel more confident about our nation’s direction.”
Lieutenant General Chaudhry’s detailed responses helped clear misconceptions regarding national and provincial issues and strengthened the students’ understanding of the army’s role in maintaining peace and stability. The session ended with a renewed sense of unity and appreciation for the sacrifices made by the armed forces.
