The Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) has strongly condemned any support by the Afghan Taliban for terrorist elements, calling it unacceptable and a threat to regional stability.
In an official statement, the FO emphasized that Pakistan expects the Afghan authorities to take decisive action against groups operating from Afghan soil that target Pakistan and the wider region.
The statement comes amid ongoing concerns over cross-border militancy and underscores Pakistan’s stance on zero tolerance for terrorism. Officials stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation to ensure peace and security in the region.
Pakistan reiterated its call for the Taliban to fulfill commitments on counterterrorism and to prevent Afghan territory from being used as a safe haven for extremist activities.
