Pakistan High Commission in London has introduced a digital property transfer service that allows overseas Pakistanis to transfer property in Punjab without travelling to Pakistan.
The initiative enables applicants to complete the transfer process directly at the High Commission after their identity is verified. Under the new system, overseas Pakistanis no longer need to issue a Power of Attorney or appoint an agent to handle property transactions on their behalf.
According to the High Commission, the digital process is designed to be transparent, secure, efficient and cost-effective. By removing intermediaries, the service aims to reduce the risk of fraud, minimise legal expenses and simplify property transfers for Pakistanis living abroad.
Officials confirmed that the facility has already been used to complete a digital property transfer for Mr. Fazal and his family. The High Commission also stated that it is fully prepared to facilitate similar transfers for other overseas Pakistanis.
The service has been introduced in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directives to improve consular services for the Pakistani diaspora. It offers a faster alternative to the traditional property transfer process, which often required travel to Pakistan or the appointment of authorised representatives.

The latest initiative is expected to benefit thousands of British Pakistanis who own property in Punjab by allowing them to manage property matters directly from London through a secure digital system.
